Steven J. Oberg
Steve Oberg is a veteran member of Lynn Jackson’s litigation practice group, specializing in cases involving heavy-truck accidents, utility liability issues, farm accidents, construction disputes, and product liability claims. Steve has substantial experience handling catastrophic injury claims involving traumatic brain injury, paralysis, and death. Steve is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in South Dakota.
Steve grew up in southeast South Dakota and obtained his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Dakota. He obtained his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota in 1990. He has been a litigator with Lynn Jackson since 1991.
Steve has been repeatedly named to the list of Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of personal injury, products liability, commercial litigation, and insurance litigation. Steve is a member of the American Association for Justice, South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association, Electric Coop Bar Association, and American Board of Trial Advocates, as well as the South Dakota, Second Circuit, and American Bar Associations.
Steve enjoys hiking, fishing, and hunting in his spare time. He and his wife Racheal spend lots of time outdoors and at their kids’ activities.
