Aaron D. Eiesland

For over twenty years, Aaron has been assisting clients and their families recover damages for personal injuries, wrongful death and employment discrimination, as well as assisting clients in construction and commercial disputes. Aaron is licensed in all state and federal courts in South Dakota, as well as the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Aaron joined Lynn Jackson in 2022.
Aaron was born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota. After graduating from Central High School, he crossed the border to attend the University of Wyoming, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Marketing. He was also a member of the University’s baseball team. He obtained his law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2000. While at USD, Aaron met his wife, Elizabeth. He also graduated from the Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course at Harvard University School of Law.
Following law school, Aaron served as a judicial clerk for Andrew W. Bogue, United States Federal District Court Judge for the Western District of South Dakota. From there, Aaron began in private practice, focusing on personal injury litigation, nursing home abuse and neglect, construction litigation, civil rights cases, federal tort claims, FELA and sexual harassment claims. He has tried dozens of cases in state and federal courts, as well as through binding arbitration.
Based in Lynn Jackson’s Rapid City and Spearfish offices, Aaron continues his excellence in litigating all types of cases. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, South Dakota Trial Lawyers, and the American Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts in South Dakota, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Aaron is a founder and board member of the Post 22 Baseball Alumni Association, and is active in Rapid City BMX, Black Hills Disc Dogs, Stevens Raiders athletics and Rapid City Adopt-a-Creek. Aaron and his wife enjoy watching their daughter Grace play volleyball for Rapid City Stevens, as well as camping, boating and cheering on the Colorado Rockies. Their family includes three dogs: Belle, a golden retriever, certified as a therapy dog; Ari, an English cream retriever, trained in agility; and Lando, a black lab who qualified nationally in K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch.
