Tracye is originally from Virginia and served her country for thirty years in the United States Navy, retiring in 2011 as a Command Master Chief (E-9). During her career in the Navy, Tracye served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. She was recognized by the President of the United States several times, including recognition for her leadership during a challenging seven-month deployment in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
Prior to retirement from the Navy, Tracye graduated from the University of Maryland University College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management. She went on to study law at the University of South Dakota, where she was a staff writer for the South Dakota Law Review, Volume 60, and recipient of the 2013 Judge Lawrence Piersol Scholarship. Tracye graduated with honors from law school in 2015, and immediately went into private practice with Lynn Jackson. Seeking to utilize her medical and human resources background, Tracye practices in the areas of workers’ compensation and personal injury, and she also assists clients with a variety of issues pertaining to employment law.
Tracye lives in Sioux Falls, and enjoys the time she gets to spend with her family.
