Kassie McKie Shiffermiller joined the firm’s Rapid City office as an associate in August 2014, after spending time at Lynn, Jackson, Shultz & Lebrun, P.C. as a summer associate in 2013. She focuses her practice on litigation, education, and employment law.. She is co-editor of the South Dakota Employment Law Letter published by Business & Legal Resources (BLR), a member of the South Dakota Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Kassie is a native of Rapid City. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S.A. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Spanish from Western Carolina University (WCU) in 2011. While at WCU, Kassie was a Division I track and field athlete, recipient of the Southern Conference Commissioner’s Medal, recipient of the Dean’s Scholar Award, and a member of the Student Leadership Council. Kassie received her J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2014, where she was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board and a research assistant for Constitutional Law.
